RICHARD ZEID CERAMICS

As a graphic designer, Richard strives to create elegant and simple solutions for his clients. He has also always been drawn to circles, and pottery, outside of his professional work, is all about the circle. The continuum, perfection of form, its abstract meanings. He is also drawn to working in a medium that is fluid, and clay is fluid, a thick viscous fluid, but fluid. Easily malleable, changed, worked, until complete.

For the past twelve years he has made himself his own client while exploring pottery. His forms are simple, balanced and elegant. They reflect his aesthetic and principles as a designer in a three dimensional medium creating both functional and decorative pieces.

Richard often explore the deconstruction of the form as well as adorning the form with ornamentation often influenced by design and architectural styles and movements, and frequently turning to nature for inspiration.

Russel Scott is a local artist who creates all of his artworks with a magnifying glass and the sun! Spending hours outside on each piece, Russel meticulously creates ornate designs and images by burning a variety of woods to create one of a kind artwork perfect to hang in your home.
